Franklin Public Library Used Book Sale – 421 Twelfth St. – 09/30 – 10AM-5PM; 10/1-10/6 – 10AM-8PM; 10/7 – 10AM-5PM; 10/8 – Noon-5PM

Gigantic Book Fair – Venango County Historical Society-Applefest Book Sale and Garage Sale – 301 S. Park St.:  Oct. 5, 6, 7 – 10AM-5PM; Oct. 8 – Noon-4PM

Historical Society Tours – Venango County Historical Society Tours – 307 S. Park St.:  Oct. 5, 6, 7 – 10AM-5PM; Oct. 8 – Noon-4PM; Adults – $5.00

Sports & Beverages – Oct. 6, 7, 8 – Barrow-Civic Theatre Little Theatre will be open from Noon to 6PM for sports on the big screen and beverages. Stop in any time to watch the game of the hour and rest your weary feet.

Farmer’s Market – 12th Street – Oct. 6 and 7, 10AM-5PM; Oct. 8 – 10AM-4PM

Venango Regional Airport Fly-In – Oct. 7 and 8 – Complimentary breakfast and shuttle service for fly-in visitors coming to Applefest

Johnny Appleseed will be strolling  through the festival Oct. 6 and 7 from 12PM-5PM and on Oct. 8 from 12PM-3PM.  Be sure to say hello.

Tiffany Window Tours – St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1145 Buffalo St., Oct. 6, 7  – Choice of 3 tours at 10AM, Noon, and 2PM; Oct. 8 tour at 2PM.  Doors open 8AM-8PM Fri. & Sat.

Hospitality Center – The Hospitality Ministry of First Presbyterian Church offers restrooms, diaper changing station, free water, a place to eat and relax.  Offering self-guided stained glass window tours & quiet meditation in the sanctuary.  Located at the corner of West Park and Elk Streets across from Fountain Park.  Ongoing hospitality during the days and hours of Applefest. Sponsored by First Presbyterian Church

Tuesday October 3

10th Annual Pink Splash for the CURE – Fountain in Fountain Park, 5:30PM – Fundraising & awareness event in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure & the Kirtland Cancer Foundation.  The fountain will be colored PINK by local cancer survivors.  “In Memory Of” & “In Honor Of” balloon sales, 50/50 raffle.  “Dine for the Cure” nights will be held by local restaurants.  Come out and support the Cause!

Thursday October 5

Franklin High School Hall of Fame – 2017 Induction Ceremony – the Quality Inn and Conference Center, 1411 Liberty Street.  Cocktails begin at 5PM; Dinner at 6:30PM.  2017 Inductees are:  Christie Shefchunas, Dr. Kenton Rexford, Bill Mook, and Nate Byham.  Tickets are $25.00 each and available at  your Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce.
